Tools magazine is an annual publication dedicated to promoting and deciphering manufacturing techniques and expertise in art, design, interior design, industry, and crafts. Each issue is dedicated to a specific manufacturing technique (moulding, folding, etc.) that guides the selection of topics, pieces, and personalities interviewed.

Tools thus provides an overview of design, from yesterday and today, from history to the transmission of techniques, paying close attention to those who make these cult objects of our daily lives, and who convey the stories at the origin of our common imagination.

Following the first immersive show, Ideal Living, in November 2024, Close has evolved into a platform based in Glasgow that supports a diverse range of creatives, with a focus on design and craft made in Scotland. The platform celebrates makers and independents through varied events in changing spaces.
